Heat Sinks

Heat sinks provide thermal management in electronic or mechanical devices for components that can’t sufficiently dissipate heat to moderate temperature. The heat sink’s thermal conductivity depends on its material. Heat sink materials absorb heat energy and transfer it to the environment for efficient cooling. They require high heat capacity and thermal conductivity. Aluminium and copper are typically used because of their high conductivity. Aluminium alloys 6060, 6061, and 6063 are commonly used for heat sinks due to their thermal conductivity values. The values depend on the temper of the alloy. Tempering is a heat treatment technique to increase the alloys toughness by decreasing hardness.

 

Air Cooling Heatsink for Disc type thyristor

Air Cooling Heatsinks for single- and double-sided cooling disc type power SCR thyristors and rectifier diodes during their operation. Heatsinks are used for semiconductor devices for currents from 100A to 6300A and voltages VDRM/VRRM up to 7000V. Heatsinks are used for disc (tablet type) semiconductors with contact surface diameter from Ø19 mm to Ø100 mm.

For minimum electrical losses and maximum heat dissipation of the devices, the appropriate mounting force Fm specified in the power device specifications must be observed

Semiconductor SCR Bar Clamps

Bar Clamps, the mounting of high power semiconductors requires a clamp capable of exerting a minimum force. Also, the force applied by the clamp minimizes both electrical and thermal resistance. Consequently, it ensures the semiconductor is in perfect contact with the heatsink and bus bars.

The mounting clamp assemblies are the most efficient for mounting, compressing and clamping thyristor, rectifiers and high power semiconductor devices for different industries.

Bar Clamps are used for double sided cooling applications. They have a stack of preloaded Belleville springs which guarantees the perpendicularity of the clamping force. An indicator washer on the spring guide indicates when the correct clamping force is achieved.

Axial Compact AC and DC Fans:

 Axial compact fans are suitable for high air performance with moderate pressure build-up. The flow of air through the fan blades is parallel to the rotation axis. Ebm-Papst & Rexnord offers a wide selection of AC and DC compact fans – from 25 to 280 mm – which are extremely flat.

 Radial Fans

Radial Fans are available with forward or backward curved blades. The low-noise centrifugal fans and blowers with forward curved blades are also supplied with spiral housing. The centrifugal fans with backward curved blades are designed as free-wheeling fans and do not require a scroll housing.

 

 

Centrifugal Blowers:

 

Centrifugal fans from Ebm-Papst & Rexnord are available with forward or backward curved blades. The centrifugal fans with backward curved blades are designed as free-wheeling fans and do not require a scroll housing. For the centrifugal fans with external rotor motors, the motor is positioned in the impeller, which results in an especially compact design in addition to optimal cooling of the motor.

Commercial Thermostats:

KSD301 series snap-action bimetal thermostat is a kind of miniature hermetically sealed bimetal thermostat (1/2″ disc). It is of single-pole single-throw structure and works under resistive load. KSD301 bimetal thermostat is in wide use in a great variety of compact type home appliances with automatic reset or manual reset to provide temperature control or temperature protection.
